Master Electronics has added Essentra Components to its supplier list. Essentra sells broad array of products, including protective plastic caps, work-holding clamps, and hardware for printed circuit boards.

The deal is a relatively small feather in the cap for the two-year-old Essentra, but it gives the company a deeper foothold in industrial, military, and medical markets that Master Electronics targets. Essentra was formed in 2015 when Richco merged with Alliance and Reid Supply under holding company Essentra plc.

The industrial giant emphasizes to investors and customers its broad variety of offerings spread out in multiple markets. Not only does Essentra sell various types of hardware, it also sells cabling, adhesives, and components for hydraulics and machining. It runs 42 factories and claims to stock over one billion parts at all times.

The deal will give the Essentra access to “to new market sectors while Master Electronics will expand their offering into their existing customer base,” said Paul Bancherau, Essentra’s distribution channel manager, in a statement. He added: “We are enthusiastic about the potential this new partnership has.”
