In yet another move to put application information all in one stop, distributor Newark element14 announced the launch of its industrial automation microsite this week. The site provides industrial engineers with design tools, technical information and access to the latest products and services for industrial and plant maintenance applications.

Many of the industry’s top electronics distributors have been launching application and technology-specific microsites recently as a way to provide engineers with more focused access to the products, tools, services and information they need to do their jobs better and more efficiently.

Element14 launched a microsite dedicated to wireless technology earlier this fall, and other companies, such as Mouser Electronics, have been steadily adding to their bank of application-specific sites this year. Mouser launched a power supply technology site earlier this fall, bringing its total applications and technologies sites to 16. Future Electronics also got in on the game earlier this year with the launch of an applications solutions page for lighting technologies.

Newark element14 says its new industrial automation site serves as a one-stop shop for industrial engineers, who also get access to the wider element14 online community via the new site.

“Industrial engineers face complex and demanding tasks every day,” Jeff Uden, vice president, product management for Newark element14 said in a statement announcing the site. “The microsite provides them a convenient single source for technical information, support and a portfolio of products for everything from sensing to safety.”
