A host of the industry’s largest distributors received top honors from their supplier partners this spring.
Avnet Electronics Marketing was named 2015 Distributor of the Year by GE’s Critical Power business; the award recognizes Avnet’s “exceptional demand creation and technical support activities” on behalf of GE’s Critical Power business and its customers. Avnet was also named 2015 Distributor of the Year by TDK-Lambda Americas, recognizing the distributor’s achievement in posting record-high point-of-sale (POS) for the manufacturer in North America.
Harting Inc. of North America recently presented Future Electronics with a Distinguished Award for New Product Sales Growth, recognizing the distributor’s milestones in total sales and year-on-year sales growth.
Mouser Electronics was named 2014 e-Commerce Distributor of the Year by Bourns, recognizing its sales growth and engagement.
Sager Electronics was named Wakefield-Vette’s 2014 Distributor of the Year, recognizing its outstanding sales performance and second consecutive year of POS growth. Sager also announced its inaugural Supplier Excellence Awards this spring. The distributor recognized Phoenix Contact, Samtec, Omron Electronic Components, and Carling Technologies for their performance in 2014. Phoenix Contact achieved Sager’s top recognition: the Diamond Confidence Award for Overall Top Supplier Performance. Samtec was recognized with the Best Quality Award. Omron and Carling Technologies also received recognition for exceeding the program’s criteria for supplier excellence.
Finally, TTI announced that it received a series of supplier accolades this spring. For the second consecutive year, TTI and its subsidiary, Mouser Electronics, received the Global Partnership Award for distributor excellence from Amphenol Corporation. Jointly, the companies also received the North America Distributor of the Year Award.
For the fifth year, API Technologies awarded TTI with its Distributor of the Year Award. The award cites a combination of top POS market share in overall filtered connectors and low pass filters. Long-time supplier partner Bourns honored TTI as Distributor of the Year and recognized the company with a special 30-Year Partnership Recognition award.
For the third year, TTI was honored with Distributor of the Year from Eaton. Additional awards from circuit protection suppliers came from Littelfuse, Volume Distributor of the Year, and from TDK-Epcos, Distributor of the Year.
TTI earned a first-time award from LED manufacturer Kingbright. Interconnect solutions provider Souriau presented TTI with top honors as the Military and Aerospace Distributor of the Year. For the ninth year, KEMET Corporation acknowledged TTI as Distributor of the Year. Recognizing TTI’s overall sales performance and inventory commitment, Vishay awarded TTI its prestigious Full Service Distributor of the Year Award and for outstanding passives performance, the Passive Distributor of the Year Award.
Earlier this year TTI achieved Gold Level status capturing Honeywell Sensing and Control’s Top Performance Award and Global Distributor of the Year from TE Connectivity, marking a fifth win for TTI in six years.
