3D Glass Solutions Inc. (3DGS), a fabricator of electronic packages and devices using photo-definable glass-ceramics, has released what it’s calling “the highest-efficiency 5G integrated passive devices (IPDs) for radio frequency (RF) filters.”
According to the company, these RF filters have been designed to operate as bandpass filters for frequencies at 5GHz and 28GHz with less than 1.0 dB of insertion loss. The company says that its 5G RF filters are manufactured using APEX Glass, a material that features up to 70% reduction in chip size and 50% reduction in power versus legacy PCB materials.
