Electronics distributor TTI, Inc. broke ground to begin building a new warehouse distribution center located in Fort Worth, Texas, this month. The center is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Combined with warehouse expansion projects in Europe, Asia, and Mexico, the North American project will bring TTI’s total global warehouse space to more than 2 million square feet. The new facility will be located at 3737 Meacham Boulevard in Fort Worth, TTI’s home city for nearly a half-century.

“This expansion allows TTI to invest even more in the Fort Worth community, which has been home to TTI headquarters for 45 years,” said Don Akery, senior vice president, TTI global business operations. “We want to continue building our legacy by investing in our hometown as a leading community business partner and to build a bigger and better place of employment for our employees and future employees.”

TTI’s new multi-level distribution center streamlines the receiving and shipping process of the warehouse with state-of-the-art automated material handling, allowing orders to be processed with greater speed and efficiency, the company said.
