The 2016 Fortune 500 is out, and the two largest American distributors of electronic components make the list once again. Avnet ranks 102nd, rising six spots from last year’s ranking, and Arrow Electronics came in at number 119.
Ranking high on the list is Berkshire Hathaway, at number 4, which owns industry leader TTI, Inc., Mouser Electronics and Sager Electronics.
Commenting on this year’s list, Avnet CEO Rick Hamada pointed to the distributor’s focus on growth. This is Avnet’s 22nd year on the Fortune 500.

A handful of other business-to-business distributors made the list this year as well, including industrial products distributor W.W. Grainger, at number 285; electrical products distributors WESCO Distribution, at number 357, and Graybar Electric, at number 423; and communications and security products/electrical and electronic wire and cable supplier Anixter, at number 391.
