Surviving a Flat Electronic Components Marketplace

In a new post to its MarketEYE Research Center, TTI Inc.’s Michael Knight writes about one of the greatest challenges facing electronic component manufacturers, distributors, and buyers: the flat market conditions that have plagued the industry since 2010. But rather than bemoan the challenging times, Knight attempts to find the positive in “flat,” pointing to an industry growth spurt in the not-too-distant future, along with technological innovations that are making electronics an ever-more-important part of daily life. That’s on top of the wisdom and new skill sets that come from learning how to survive in a challenging—and altogether foreign—environment for electronics companies.

Knight is senior vice president for TTI Americas, and the company’s MarketEYE Research Center is an online resource for electronic component market information. Read Knight’s newest industry conditions post here.
