Sager Electronics Buys Smaller Peer Power Sources Unlimited

Sager Electronics said on Monday that it had acquired the distribution and supply business of Power Sources Unlimited, which primarily sells power conversion products. The electronics distributor said that the deal would further expand its Sager Power Systems operations.

“PSUI is a small, but strong player in power supplies in North America,” said Frank Flynn, Sager’s president, in a statement. “This acquisition furthers our specialization in power by strengthening our technical expertise and enhancing our depth with our power supply manufacturers.” The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition of the small Massachusetts-based distributor bolsters Sager Power Systems, which has focused on power supplies since it was founded as a division of Sager Electronics in 2015. Power Sources Unlimited’s president Ray Newby plans to move over to Sager with his sales team following the deal.
