ECIA readies for next week’s Executive Conference, Mouser named top employer in Texas

Electronics supply chain executives head to Chicago next week for the annual Executive Conference of the Electronic Components Industry Association. The event draws about 300 professionals from electronics distribution and manufacturing and will take place at the InterContinental Chicago O’Hare October 28-30. On the agenda are 15 leaders from inside and outside the electronics supply chain talking about key issues shaping today’s business world.

Entitled “Information + Application = Innovation, A Powerful Formula for Business Growth and Success,” the conference features Avnet Inc. CEO Rick Hamada as keynote speaker. Hamada will draw on his 28 years of experience with Avnet in his speech, “From Information to Innovation.” Also on the agenda are Glenn Bassett, vice president, supply chain intelligence for industry research firm IHS; Gordon Hunter, president and CEO of global electronics manufacturer Littlefuse; and IBM’s Guy Blissett, author of the 2010 installment of the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors’ Facing the Forces of Change series, which examines trends and issues in distribution.
