Heard in the Channel: Mouser Releases Communications Applications Site and NI Multisim Component Evaluator

Mouser adds more engineering tools to its site; plus news and updates from MIT Technology Review, TTI, Intel, Digi-Key, and more.

Mouser Electronics, Inc. launched a new Communications Applications Site and added MultiSIM BLUE, the NI Multisim Component Evaluator—Mouser Edition to Mouser.com. The Communications Applications Site provides information about different applications in the communications field and gives engineers and buyers resources to discover new products, components, and advancements. Mouser collaborated with NI to offer its own free edition of MultiSIM Blue—a tool that adds features and functionality to offer engineers a SPICE simulation environment of electronic circuits using Mouser’s distributed components.

The Communications Applications Site includes: Featured Products—allowing designers to select from a large array of components and development tools; Articles—including papers written by experts in their fields with diagrams and graphics; and, the Resources Section—which can be searched by manufacturer or topic and features articles on circuit protection, connectors, high-speed design passives, and telecommunications.

MultiSIM BLUE includes more than 100,000 electronic components with simulation features and SPICE analyses. It will allow engineers to visualize and assess linear performance, making design faster and more productive. The tool allows users to create schematics, simulate circuits, and build printed circuit board layouts. Additionally, MultiSIM BLUE has an interactive schematic interface with a full-right-click menu and supports many component types including passives, sensors, discretes, and more.
