Heard in the Channel: Mouser Launches Security Applications Site

Oct. 29, 2014
Distributor site responds to growing demand for security solutions; ECIA hosts Executive Conference, honors distinguished service from long-time members of the electronics supply chain.

Distributor Mouser Electronics has launched a Security Applications site on Mouser.com designed to provide resources to engineers who are developing cutting-edge security systems. The site is in response to growing demand for connectedness and the Internet of Things and the resulting need for better security to combat threats and vulnerabilities online.

“Mouser’s new Security Application Site simplifies security design by providing access to the latest security resources all in one place,” Mouser officials said.

The site includes an applications section that provides an overview of IP cameras, including a detailed system diagram with recommended components; the featured products section lists key components used for security applications; and the resources section contains videos and application notes that discuss device selection and applications considerations for several different security applications.

The new Security Applications site is one of nearly 30 Applications and Technologies sites Mouser offers as resources to design engineers.
